**Merck Group Announces Major Transformation in its business of Division Surface Solution**
In July 2024, Merck signed an agreement with Global New Materials International Holdings Limited (Global New Materials) to sell its global Surface Solution business division. The transaction is expected to be completed by July 31, 2025.
Starting from August 1, 2025, the Surface Solution business will officially be renamed under a new company brand: SUSONITY. This new brand represents not just a change in name but also highlights our commitment to the future—continuing to create limitless possibilities for our customers, going beyond surface effects, and delivering profound value.
This business transformation only involves a change in corporate ownership. In the future, SUSONITY will focus more on the development of pearlescent pigments and cosmetics, actively promoting innovation to meet the diverse demands of the global market.
